| The Group Policy implementation in Microsoft Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2 does not properly handle distribution of passwords, which allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive credential information and consequently gain privileges by leveraging access to the SYSVOL share, as exploited in the wild in May 2014, aka "Group Policy Preferences Password Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability." |
| Execution with Unnecessary Privileges vulnerability in multiple services of Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric MobileHMI versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric IoTWorX version 10.95, Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS32 all versions, Mitsubishi Electric BizViz all versions, Mitsubishi Electric MC Works64 all versions, Mitsubishi Electric GENESIS versions 11.00, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS64 versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions ICONICS Suite versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions MobileHMI versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions Hyper Historian versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions AnalytiX versions 10.97.3 and prior, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions IoTWorX version 10.95, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS32 all versions, Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions BizViz all versions, and Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions GENESIS versions 11.00 allows a local authenticated attacker to make an unauthorized write to arbitrary files, by creating a symbolic link from a file used as a write destination by the services of the affected products to a target file. This could allow the attacker to destroy the file on a PC with the affected products installed, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition on the PC if the destroyed file is necessary for the operation of the PC. |
| A vulnerability in the Data Collection Agent (DCA) feature of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain DCA user privileges on an affected system.
This vulnerability is due to the presence of a credential file for the DCA user on an affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted HTTP request and reading the file that contains the DCA password from that affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to access another affected system and gain DCA user privileges.
Note: Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager releases 20.18 and later are not affected by this vulnerability. |
| The KiotViet Sync plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorizarion bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.5. This is due to the plugin using a hardcoded password for authentication in the QueryControllerAdmin::authenticated function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create and sync products. |
| An issue was discovered in Percona PMM before 3.7. Because an internal database user retains specific superuser privileges, an attacker with pmm-admin rights can abuse the "Add data source" feature to break out of the database context and execute shell commands on the underlying operating system. |
| The Simple History plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to sensitive data exposure via Detective Mode due to improper sanitization within the append_debug_info_to_context() function in versions prior to 5.8.1. When Detective Mode is enabled, the plugin’s logger captures the entire contents of $_POST (and sometimes raw request bodies or $_GET) without redacting any password‐related keys. As a result, whenever a user submits a login form, whether via native wp_login or a third‐party login widget, their actual password is written in clear text into the logs. An authenticated attacker or any user whose actions generate a login event will have their password recorded; an administrator (or anyone with database read access) can then read those logs and retrieve every captured password. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Forget ranges when refining tnum after JSET
Syzbot reported a kernel warning due to a range invariant violation on
the following BPF program.
0: call bpf_get_netns_cookie
1: if r0 == 0 goto <exit>
2: if r0 & Oxffffffff goto <exit>
The issue is on the path where we fall through both jumps.
That path is unreachable at runtime: after insn 1, we know r0 != 0, but
with the sign extension on the jset, we would only fallthrough insn 2
if r0 == 0. Unfortunately, is_branch_taken() isn't currently able to
figure this out, so the verifier walks all branches. The verifier then
refines the register bounds using the second condition and we end
up with inconsistent bounds on this unreachable path:
1: if r0 == 0 goto <exit>
r0: u64=[0x1, 0xffffffffffffffff] var_off=(0, 0xffffffffffffffff)
2: if r0 & 0xffffffff goto <exit>
r0 before reg_bounds_sync: u64=[0x1, 0xffffffffffffffff] var_off=(0, 0)
r0 after reg_bounds_sync: u64=[0x1, 0] var_off=(0, 0)
Improving the range refinement for JSET to cover all cases is tricky. We
also don't expect many users to rely on JSET given LLVM doesn't generate
those instructions. So instead of improving the range refinement for
JSETs, Eduard suggested we forget the ranges whenever we're narrowing
tnums after a JSET. This patch implements that approach. |
| iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools that allow for the interaction, manipulation, and application of ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.2, iccDEV is vulnerable to NULL pointer dereference via the XML tag parser. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.2. |
