| Use after free in GPU in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Use after free in Accessibility in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform privilege escalation via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Use after free in Accessibility in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| A security flaw has been discovered in Open5GS up to 2.7.7. Affected by this issue is the function discover_handler in the library /lib/sbi/nghttp2-server.c of the component NRF. The manipulation results in use after free. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| Use after free in Blink in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| Use after free in Tab Groups in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code via malicious network traffic. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| Use after free in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| radare2 6.1.5 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the gdbr_threads_list() function that allows remote attackers to trigger memory corruption by sending a valid qfThreadInfo response followed by a malformed qsThreadInfo response. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability through GDB remote debugging to cause a denial of service or potentially achieve code execution by manipulating thread list processing. |

| Use after free in FileSystem in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| Use after free in Aura in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| Use after free in HID in Google Chrome prior to 148.0.7778.168 allowed a remote attacker who convinced a user to engage in specific UI gestures to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical) |
| libbabl 0.1.62 contains a broken double free detection vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass memory safety checks by exploiting signature overwriting in freed chunks. Attackers can call babl_free() twice on the same pointer without triggering detection, as libc's malloc metadata overwrites babl's signature field upon freeing, enabling potential memory corruption and code execution. |
| After invoking $_internalJsEmit, which is not intended to be directly accessible, or mapreduce command’s map function in a certain way, an authenticated user can subsequently crash mongod when the server-side JavaScript engine (through $where, $function, mapreduce reduce stage, etc.) is used also in a specific way, resulting in a post-authentication denial-of-service.
This issue impacts MongoDB Server v8.2 versions prior to 8.2.9 and v8.3 versions prior to 8.3.2. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cpufreq: governor: fix double free in cpufreq_dbs_governor_init() error path
When kobject_init_and_add() fails, cpufreq_dbs_governor_init() calls
kobject_put(&dbs_data->attr_set.kobj).
The kobject release callback cpufreq_dbs_data_release() calls
gov->exit(dbs_data) and kfree(dbs_data), but the current error path
then calls gov->exit(dbs_data) and kfree(dbs_data) again, causing a
double free.
Keep the direct kfree(dbs_data) for the gov->init() failure path, but
after kobject_init_and_add() has been called, let kobject_put() handle
the cleanup through cpufreq_dbs_data_release(). |
| Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 115.35.1, Firefox ESR 140.10.1 and Firefox 150.0.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 150.0.2, Firefox ESR 140.10.2, Firefox ESR 115.35.2, Thunderbird 150.0.2, and Thunderbird 140.10.2. |
| PoDoFo is a C++17 PDF manipulation library. From 1.0.0 to before 1.0.4, a double-free vulnerability exists in compute_hash_to_sign() in src/podofo/private/OpenSSLInternal_Ripped.cpp. If EVP_DigestFinal fails after buf has already been freed, the Error label frees buf a second time, causing heap corruption. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.4. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
x86: shadow stacks: proper error handling for mmap lock
김영민 reports that shstk_pop_sigframe() doesn't check for errors from
mmap_read_lock_killable(), which is a silly oversight, and also shows
that we haven't marked those functions with "__must_check", which would
have immediately caught it.
So let's fix both issues. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix use-after-free in __ksmbd_close_fd() via durable scavenger
When a durable file handle survives session disconnect (TCP close without
SMB2_LOGOFF), session_fd_check() sets fp->conn = NULL to preserve the
handle for later reconnection. However, it did not clean up the byte-range
locks on fp->lock_list.
Later, when the durable scavenger thread times out and calls
__ksmbd_close_fd(NULL, fp), the lock cleanup loop did:
spin_lock(&fp->conn->llist_lock);
This caused a slab use-after-free because fp->conn was NULL and the
original connection object had already been freed by
ksmbd_tcp_disconnect().
The root cause is asymmetric cleanup: lock entries (smb_lock->clist) were
left dangling on the freed conn->lock_list while fp->conn was nulled out.
To fix this issue properly, we need to handle the lifetime of
smb_lock->clist across three paths:
- Safely skip clist deletion when list is empty and fp->conn is NULL.
- Remove the lock from the old connection's lock_list in
session_fd_check()
- Re-add the lock to the new connection's lock_list in
ksmbd_reopen_durable_fd(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix UAF caused by decrementing sbi->nr_pages[] in f2fs_write_end_io()
The xfstests case "generic/107" and syzbot have both reported a NULL
pointer dereference.
The concurrent scenario that triggers the panic is as follows:
F2FS_WB_CP_DATA write callback umount
- f2fs_write_checkpoint
- f2fs_wait_on_all_pages(sbi, F2FS_WB_CP_DATA)
- blk_mq_end_request
- bio_endio
- f2fs_write_end_io
: dec_page_count(sbi, F2FS_WB_CP_DATA)
: wake_up(&sbi->cp_wait)
- kill_f2fs_super
- kill_block_super
- f2fs_put_super
: iput(sbi->node_inode)
: sbi->node_inode = NULL
: f2fs_in_warm_node_list
- is_node_folio // sbi->node_inode is NULL and panic
The root cause is that f2fs_put_super() calls iput(sbi->node_inode) and
sets sbi->node_inode to NULL after sbi->nr_pages[F2FS_WB_CP_DATA] is
decremented to zero. As a result, f2fs_in_warm_node_list() may
dereference a NULL node_inode when checking whether a folio belongs to
the node inode, leading to a panic.
This patch fixes the issue by calling f2fs_in_warm_node_list() before
decrementing sbi->nr_pages[F2FS_WB_CP_DATA], thus preventing the
use-after-free condition. |
